Navaratri is celebrated twice a year, the Chaitra Navaratri following
Gudi Padva and Maha Navaratri after Janmashtami. Both the celebrations
start with Ganesh puja followed by Navagraha puja, Chandi Havan,
chanting of Argalastrotram and Aarti. Every night devotees take part
in the Garba after Aarti.
Durgashtami is celebrated in a traditional way with Nava Kanya Puja. Nine young
girls representing nine Devi's are offered special puja. On Dashami, these nine
kanyas are offered 'bhojan' by the devotees.
